Gathering your things
you kiss me swiftly on the cheek
assuring me for the thousandth time
"Sweetie, be strong"

I hug you for an eternity
tightening my grip although you hint for me to let go
And I do want to let go,
let go and learn to cope

Finally I wave to you my last format of good bye
You pick up the luggage and head off to the "DEPARTURE" sign
the airport suddenly so empty
like my heart.
short sweet and to the point.

i couldnt decide on the title but i liked the song let go by frou frou.

i haven't seen my dad in 3 years, and when we left him it was rough, so i think i might know how you feel?
